The Uganda Response Innovation Lab, a new initiative led by Save the Children held the first convening around ecosystem mapping for humanitarian innovation during in December 2017.

The Uganda Response Innovation Lab is dedicated to improving the humanitarian response in Uganda, and also works in disaster areas to develop, test and scale up new ideas to build better disaster responses. With the increasing numbers of refugees and asylum seekers in Uganda, this will indeed be a gap to fill in the ecosystem by Response Innovation Lab.

The ecosystem mapping exercise was attended by ecosystem players as UNCDF, ResilientAfrica Network, the George Washington University, Outbox Hub, The Innovation Village, Kampala Angel Investment Network and others.

enStartup worked with Save the Children to create the initial Uganda Humanitarian Innovation Ecosystem Map which is available for download here. If you would like to get in touch with RIL Uganda you can email them at
